Intraoral Cameras

Dentist capturing images with intraoral cameras

Instead of shining a bright light into your mouth (and eyes) to examine your teeth and gums, we can take close-up images instead using our intraoral camera. These can then be displayed on a large chairside monitor, making it easier for our team to spot any potential issues. Plus, you’ll finally be able to see your smile from your dentist’s perspective, which will make it much simpler to understand your needs and why we might be recommending certain treatments.

All-Digital X-Rays

X-rays allow us to peer below the gum line at the roots and bone that support the teeth, and they enable us to catch issues like cavities and infections that might be hidden from the naked eye. With our digital X-rays, we can capture crystal-clear images in a matter of seconds while exposing patients to a small fraction of the radiation compared to traditional film. We can also go over these X-rays with you to give you a “backstage” tour of your smile.

CBCT Scanner

CBCT scanner

While a digital X-ray is perfect if we need to get a closer look at a few teeth, our CBCT scanner allows us to see the big picture when it comes to your oral health. Several images are taken at multiple angles and then pieced together to create a 3D map that shows all of your teeth, both jaws, facial nerves, and more in extensive detail. We can use it to establish a baseline for your oral health when you come to see us for the first time, and it also allows us to more precisely plan complicated procedures like dental implant placement.

iTero Scanner

iTero Scanner

For more convenient and detailed digital impressions, our team now has an iTero scanner to get the job done. With this modern technology, we’ll be able to get a complete image of your teeth and gums, allowing us to develop more accurate, comfortable, and personalized restorations and oral appliances, including Invisalign aligners. The digital impression process with this scanner is incredibly quick and straightforward, and we’ll be less likely to require retakes. Our team will be more than happy to show you the advantages of using this top-of-the-line dental technology when you come to visit us for your next checkup!
