If you\u2019re trying to find a way to get some well-deserved shut eye, try these helpful tips so you can recharge and help your body heal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Stick to a Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the best ways to get a good night\u2019s sleep following wisdom teeth removal is to stay on schedule with your bedtime and with your medication. Taking over the counter or prescription pain meds prior to hitting the hay will help ease the pain enough for your body to relax. You may want to try to sleep for as long as possible, or you can set an alarm when your next dose of medicine is due. Be sure to note the time of your last dosage so you can do the math and determine when you should take it again. Be sure to adjust your schedule if you miss a dose while sleeping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep Your Head Up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Keeping your head elevated after your procedure will help slow bleeding and promote clotting. If you have gauze in your mouth, have someone wake you every 20 minutes to ensure that the gauze is still in place so that you do not accidentally swallow or choke on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
